version::is-newer

bool version::is-newer (
     string v1,
     string v2
)

Description

Compares two version numbers, and returns true if v1 is newer than v2.

For example, "1.2.3.4" is newer than "1.1.2.3", so version::is-newer("1.2.3.4", "1.1.2.3") will return true.
